The Science of Music

The Science: Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence. Hearing (or audition; adjectival form: "auditory" or "aural") is the ability to perceive sound by detecting vibrations through an organ such as the ear. Audio is an electrical or other representation of sound. Sound is a sequence of waves of pressure that propagates through compressible media such as air or water that humans can perceive.
Engineering is the discipline, art, skill, profession and technology of acquiring and applying scientific, mathematical, economic, social, and practical knowledge, in order to design and build structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes.
