Assignment: Chose and find an important and successful person in the entertainment industry, interview him/her and document every step of the way.

We were randomly chosen by the teachers and named team SALMON. After chosing Rob Dyrdek as our inspiration we met every day one hour before and one hour after class to collaborate and discuss our game plan. We made a personal video to Rob asking him for the interview and sent the link to his email, his manager, his twitter, his friends but no answer. His twitters said he was in Kentucky for the weekend so we decided to go try to catch him at the Fantasy Factory on his first day back. Good choice, cause he was in a good mood! Thanks to everybody's effort we finished our project 1 day early and got an A+ ;)

It's my second education and dream profession. I am living as a performing artist and entrepreneur in LA and am going to pay for school by myself.

Most Wanted

It was the Eco Friendly Fashion Corner Show at the Highlands Club in the Kodak Theater in Hollywood where I met the talented Director Dallas King. I was working the red carpet event with Savvy-Le-Chill and simply asked Dallas if he would like to experience a 9min cloud 9 Le-Chill. Reminiscing about his words, I remember him saying something like: "No thanks but... Are you an actress?" and I said: "Tonight I am a Savvy!"

He gave me his card and told me to send him my info. So I did.

He replied: "Thank you for sending me your info.

I'll keep you on file for upcoming projects. and Possibly a project coming up in 2-weeks. Shooting a trailer. Ciao"

The project he was talking about was the movie Tattoo (http://vimeo.com/15442594). Later, I received an email from the casting director Janet Ellis. She asked me if I wanted to be part of the movie as a model and I simply said "No". I already have enough credit as a model and did not want to work for free, so I asked if there was a spoken role. Unfortunately they already had casted all the talents, so I answered: ". Maybe you just keep me in mind for the next shoot, or if you need some one in the production, ones there is a budget."

After 6 months of not hearing from Dallas, I forgot who he was, when he sent me a new email asking me if I wanted to audition for Bodega, the villain of his new project. I replied: "Sure!"

Receiving 150-200 emails a day I forgot to search for the directors message which obviously was caught by the junk mail and I missed the first audition. Janet gives me a second date but this time I am so super booked out with a translation job and teaching languages, that there was no time to learn my script. I got to the audition an hour late, forgetting my headshot and not knowing the script. But for some reason I had the right outfit and attitude on for the casting director to like me and call me back. Once I saw the casting location and read the script I wanted to be Bodega. I studied my ass off bugging all my actor friends to help me read properly.

Time to leave for the second audition and here I am crying. My rent was 1 month late and I did not know what to do. Something told me f* it! Let's go have fun with this audition. Being late without a headshot again, I decided to take it as a joke. I killed the audition. Dallas, who I did not even recognize, loved it and called me to the last call back.

This time on time and with a headshot, Janet simply said: "Can you stay a little bit longer or better... forever?"

After casting 80 girls for this role, Janet was so surprised of my crazy improvement (thanks to the help of my friend Emory Livers) that she decided to walk me out and asked:" Are you acting right now? Do you have representation? Would you like to be represented by us?" All I said was: "Absolutely! I already checked your info and would love to be one of your talents!" So I signed with Arc Talent Management after a super pleasant meeting with her wonderful partner, Christine.

The movie was shot last week and is being edited now.

It has been almost a week since the first words of 'ACTION" for Most Wanted.

I just wanted to take the time to personally thank you for your energy, sacrifice, and creative support towards the project Most Wanted. It was certainly a journey for all of us, and in the end "WE" made it. A film is not made by one person..... but by a tribe, a collective, a village must come to together to make a vision into reality. Thank you for coming on this journey. When someone asks, "so what did you do last week....?" Here are some items to take in perspective when you tell them.

PRE-PRODUCTION:
-Most Wanted was first put to paper last year August 2010.
-39 Revisions to the script
-Pre-production started November 2010
-Over 80 storyboard drawings
-Production lasted 6 days. (with 5 of those being actual shooting days.)

EXECUTIVE PRODUCTION TEAM: (AD's / PA's)
-Managed Total Cast and Crew that touched Most Wanted: 132 people (not including post-production)
-Moved Set Production (3) times.
-(3) days of equipment rental and returns
-1/2 ton of Crafty.
-Fed 365 people over 6 days.

PRODUCTION TEAM: (G&E / DP)
-lit for 10 different scenes
-1/2 day pre-lighting the Electro Rave
-Broken lights - (none)
-Injuries (none)
-1/2 day Pre-light of Teleport Chamber

CAMERA / SOUND TEAM:
-Had to manage (2) RED Cameras, gear, and accessories worth over $50,000.
-Shot and Downloaded nearly 2 Terabytes (2,000 Gigabytes) of footage.
-Average new camera set-ups per day (18)
-Over 1GB of sound recorded.

ART DEPARTMENT:
-10 days to build and produce set pieces.
-built 1 large Teleport Chamber
-Set dressed (9) other sets for different scenes, in (4) different locations
-Average hours on set build each day (14)

WARDROBE DEPARTMENT:
-Designed, Styled, and Fabricated for over 65+ actors (principals + extras)
-Fabricated (2) Teleport Jump Suits from scratch. That reall light-up!!!
-Spent 10 hours fabricating 6 robes on Thursday.
-Fabricated the most amazing Wedding Dress for Bodega.

SFX DEPARTMENT:
-4 weeks prep time
-Fabricated (2) prosthetic glowing digital handcuffs and digital ear pieces.
-Fabricated 2 working pigeons w/ movable eyes.
-(6) pairs of glow in the dark contacts.
-Assisted in Airbrush duties for Performers

MAKE-UP / HAIR DEPARTMENT:
- (5) MUAS / (4) Airbrush artists.
- Styled for (21) different actors
- Airbrushed (45+) dancers / performers
- Average time for 3 principal actors to receive make-up (2 hours)

STUNT TEAM:
-1/2 day to pre-rigg and rehearse the stunt scenes
-No injuries / accident-free record
-Pulled upward rigg over (24) times with stunt person attached. (Rehearsal / Stunt)

CAST:
-21 actors
-10 Extras
-45+ Performers / Dancers
-3 weeks prep for principal actors
-6 cigars smoked
-14 page script to digest.

Most Wanted is only 50% complete. Now it must go through the "Post-Production" journey of Editing / Coloring / Visual FX / Sound Design / Score / Foley / and a lot of other adjustments.
Ideal completion and will release will be for Fall 2011.

The Brazilian newspaper 'Tribuna' wrote an article about my mom. Basically it says 'Ex Cleaning Woman Became Owner of Salon'. My mom did not even finish highschool but left Brazil when she was young taking a chance. She was offered a job and a ticket to Italy. Ever since she has worked hard to reach her high goals. She went to beauty schools, opened a beauty salon in Switzerland, received awards, entered the politics and then dropped everything to move back to Brazil. Now she owns 3 appartments, a interior design store and a beauty salon in Vitoria and Guarapari (ES).

Yesterday was a crazy day. I was called as French-English interpreter for 2 haitian girls locked up at the jail in Irvine because of no papers. Before the lawyer and I got there we almost caused an accident because of his gps. If I didn't say calmly "red light", I don't think I would be writing this today. There are some crazy stories on why people leave everything behind to search for help. No matter if they lie or not their souls are broken and they are just looking for a better life. That 'illegal alien' insult makes YOU a bad person not them, Niggah!!! This is our earth! Our people are looking, asking for help and you lock them up cause of papers??? There are rapists, killers and let's not forget the smiling child molestors walking around free and you worry about papers and work? since when work is illegal? Which commandment states: "Do not cross borders to seek a better future for yourself?" This one lady survived 2 shots in the head after watching her 18 years old niece getting raped. Having to live on the street after the eartquake she decided to just run for hope... Human behavior makes me cry. I pray!

After a long day in front of my little electronic baby, going awol trying to find the next paying gig before my landlord remembers that we ain't family, I get a call from Nika (yup the infamous, gorgeous and funny Nika Williams) who just happens to have 2 tickets for the screening of Halle Berry's new movie. So I put my fanciest 'I-don’t-know-what-to-wear' clothes on, grab my hat and jump in the car 20min later to find street parking and be on time at the screening.

For the first time in my life I am sitting in a movie theater with nothing but beautiful black people. It felt overwhelming to be in a vibe that I know and looked for but am not used to be in. I am simply not used to not be the only big hair in the room and instead of feeling foreign, I was home.

Anyhow, here we are at the first screening of 'Frankie & Alice'. Not knowing what to expect I try to see over the big head in front of me. I do not want to tell you anything about the movie but the fact that I really enjoyed myself watching it and would recommend anyone. It is a little Halle Berry typical drama but not as much as you would expect (forget Monster’s Ball in this case). We are being told a true story and it pleasantly misses that Hollywood overdo. I did not cry for once but we all genuinely stood up and clapped at the end of it.

After the movie here come the Q&A's. My heart could not help it to beat a little faster. Let me just be excited about my blessings for a second :Little me, from a place in between the alps, is sitting here with this dope ass Hollywood comedian who just happens to be my friend and invited me to the FIRST screening of world famous and super talented Halle Berry who is sitting in front of us answering questions with that excited voice. You could tell she was a little anxious and I was super inspired.

With a big smile on my face I follow Nika out who obviously knows a bunch of people in there and we start talking about where to go next. The decision falls on Snoop Dogg’s private party down the street of my house. No we did not see Snoop but one celebrity a day is more than enough. Instead we got a little present from the parking fairy: $52 in parking ticket to see Halle Berry... is that what you get tryna be cheap and save that $10 valet?

You got a 100 dollar bill but your hands up…

I do not know why I have always been the psychologist of the frustrated others, however the complaint remains the same for everyone. Some women are some real Praying Mantis just using the man for the purpose. How did that happen though? Are they really evil and something else or did they simply lose the faith in the balance of the universe?

Even my boy Rceeezy from Houston, TX knows! Saxophone player Kamasi is the man, who frequently brings the few worldwide genuine musicians together in his backyard home-studio somewhere between L.A. and Inglewood for a recording jam session.
And here I land sitting in the corner with my little notebook trying to be as silent as a working ant can be… Ma che, working ant; in a time when art got monotonous and women turned ugly, I am fully aware of this divine ear-gasm and mos def do not mind to leave this 3 hours session with a new tinnitus.

Alright! Now you want to know why I’m accusing my species to be repulsive and art boring. As always, Venus does not worry to fully articulate herself:

In my eyes a woman is supposed to be compassionate wisdom and a gentle muse to the production driven man. But looking up to drug prepared Kate puppets and Tomb Raiders doesn’t it turn a girl into a miserable wicked fantasy?
Among the speculation that a male is incomplete without his female half, I observe an assortment of our days wanna-be-art being created with nothing but a mouse, the same way as Bush’s business plan: With the lonely desire of attention and power.

To me Art is an expressed definition of a life momentum that stimulates senses, mind and body like a massage. So, as a massage it has a divine value and we pay as much as we can afford to show our appreciation.

But by chance my hope dies last. Sitting here like a faded Moss on a VIP stool, witnessing 5 genius gentlemen mastering the recording of three overwhelming 10-15 minutes pieces of pure Jazz (each in max. 2 takes) I arouse believing in wonders again.
